Deerfield Beach

Deerfield Beach is a bustling coastal community where the whole family can play and explore the pristine beach, savor oceanfront restaurants, and enjoy community events. The Town of Deerfield was incorporated on June 11, 1925, and in 1939 the name was changed to Deerfield Beach. At the time it was primarily an agricultural community. After WWII, tourists began to discover the scenic oceanfront, and new hotels popped up along the shoreline. In 1951 the town name was changed to the City of Deerfield Beach. Today the economy is heavily diversified and includes distribution, manufacturing, and office industries in addition to tourism. The City hosts the Women's Professional Volleyball Association Tour and Superboat Power Race and features year-round recreational programs, for residents and tourists alike.
